The Gate of the North

Tabuk, the gate of the north, is located in the northern part of the kingdom.  It is a very beautiful city.  It is surrounded by modern farms.  There are several huge agricultural projects which grow many kinds of crops such as  fruits and vegetables.  They also grow several kinds of flowers and export them abroad.  Although Tabuk is a growing city, it has some small buildings, such as Tabuk castle.  It has a very large seaport in Dhuba.  There are two universities and some other colleges and institutes.

When one drives through the streets, he feels as if he is in a capital city. There  are a lot of large stores and supermarkets with large car parks.  It has some public gardens and there is a public souq  which is called souq Al-Khames where one can finds old things side by side with the modern ones.

Really, Tabuk shows one both styles of life: the modern style and the traditional one.
